Chimera African Violets

Unlike normal African violets where the genetic makeup is uniform throughout, a chimera is a plant composed of two completely distinct sets of genetic material (genotypes) living side-by-side in the same plant. Chimera are more difficult to propagate than normal African violets because they cannot produce true blooming plants via leaf propagation. There are both flower and leaf chimeras.
