Confirmed True Plants

Chimera and fantasy varieties that have already bloomed true will be clearly identified as such in the product description. These plants have been verified for accurate patterning prior to sale.

Unbloomed Starter Guarantee (“Bloom True”)

For starter plants that have not yet bloomed and therefore cannot be confirmed true before shipment, we offer a Bloom True Guarantee.

If the plant does not bloom true by its second bloom cycle, please contact us within 6 months of receiving your order. Include a clear photo of the plant and its bloom, and you may choose one of the following resolutions:

• Refund (minus shipping)
• Replacement plant (if available), buyer pays shipping 
• Store credit toward a future order

Please note: Variation in the first bloom cycle is normal. The second bloom cycle is typically the stable, accurate representation of the plant’s pattern. Each African Violet bloom is different so some naturally occurring deviation in the variegation, bloom color, fantasy concentration, etc. is expected due to environmental factors (your temperature, humidity, lights, etc.) and these plants are still considered true blooming.

Leaf Cuttings

Leaf cuttings are guaranteed to come from true‑blooming parent plants.

No additional bloom guarantee applies to leaves, as natural variation can occur in plants grown from leaf propagation.

We try to ship orders as quickly as possible. Most orders will ship within a week, however, be advised that in some rare cases it may take up to two weeks to ship your order.

All plants are shipped via USPS priority shipping via a flat rate, as long as your temperatures are in a safe range. Rates may change throughout the year.  

African violet plants are very sensitive to temperature. Please contact us prior to ordering if your temperatures are below 40F at night or higher than 90F during the day. If your temperatures are extreme, we may decide to ship with insulation, require expedited shipping, or hold until temperatures are within range. Please be available to take plants inside quickly after delivery. 

Contact us for custom (or faster) shipping methods for your order or if you placed multiple orders and need to have them combined (duplicate shipping fees will be refunded).

NOTE: We currently only ship within the US - excluding Alaska and Hawaii.

No returns will be accepted.

We pack plants as carefully as possible. A few broken leaves or spilled dirt is not considered damaged. If for some reason your plants do arrive badly damaged or dead, please contact us within 12 hours of delivery with a photo of the damaged/dead plant so we can offer a refund or replacement.

Please contact us if you receive the wrong plant or your plant does not bloom true (see Bloom True Guarantee). Slight variations in variegation or bloom color are expected and are still considered to be true blooming plants.

NoID

A "NoID" is an African Violet that has lost its identified named variety tag. Because of the vast number of varieties available, there is no way to identify an African Violet from sight alone. These are no less beautiful and loved but they officially are now a NoID variety.

Sport

African Violet plants are often genetically unstable. Occasionally named varieties will "sport" and change from their known descriptions. These sports will bloom differently from their mother plants. For example, a complex chimera variety may produce a plant with solid color blooms when propagation is attempted. This is more common in some variations than others. It is also more common in leaf propagations than for sucker or bloom stalk propagations. African Violets are also very environmentally sensitive - they can display different variegations or fantasy presentations based on growing temperature, humidity, and lighting conditions.
